In the article, the information given about Nakhchivan province and Ordubad district, which were listed in 1831 and 1832, were summarized, comparative analyzes were conducted, and the indicators of the cities and districts included in both Nakhchivan and Ordubad were included in the research. It is known that after the capture of those territories by Tsarist Russia, the population was listed and the tax-paying population was determined. For this purpose, demographic indicators, families and their composition, kinship relationships, and complete information about taxable persons were provided in that census. In addition to all this, information about cities and districts, their territory, borders, geographical location, climate, waters, buildings in the area, tribes, the number of local and foreign people, production enterprises, craft areas, and city neighborhoods were also included in the research. the information given about the territories was mentioned.

In the work, the complex processes that took place in the Nakhchivan region during the so-called "socialism building period", including the creation of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the beginning of peaceful life in cities and villages, the measures implemented for the revival of the economy and culture in the Nakhchivan Republic during the years of the restoration of the national economy and during the five-year period, The participation of Nakhchivan in the German-USSR war of 1941-1945, as well as the changes that took place in the economic and cultural life of Nakhchivan MR in the years after the war are discussed in terms of a new attitude to our history.
